I’ve been keeping up with my daily reading on my commute. As I mentioned in the previous post, I’ve been reading The Art of Learning: An Inner Journey to Optimal Performance by Josh Waitzkin. I really cannot recommend the book enough for anybody who wants to improve their performance in whatever they do. There’s been so many things I’ve been struggling with in my life, certain inconsistencies, that are addressed in the book. In fact, this post is part of an exercise that I’m starting based on a recommendation in Part III: creating a trigger.

First post of the new year! As per the usual, I’ve been quite lax on writing any blog posts. My last one was back in October! Though, it doesn’t really surprise me that I’ve fallen behind. I haven’t held myself accountable for writing regularly. Nonetheless, a lot has happened since then, both good and not so good, but this post will mostly be me laying out some of the things I’ve been trying to do in my life for the new year… and the new decade for that matter.

osaka sun

I recently got an opportunity to visit Osaka, Japan on a company trip to DevCon 5. The conference ended just a few days ago, so now I have a few days to myself to spend in a country I’ve always wanted to go to. If I really think about it, it’s quite great opportunity, so I’m grateful for it.
